Edge Echo baby – The pedal simulates the sounds of old echoes. This time, to obtain the desired sound we literally "put through the wringer" all our original vintage "delay effects", including the Italian Farfisa AS2006, a very rare tape echo to find,
and the known Binson Echorec.
Old echoes have always been considered a warm form of delay and very suitable for guitar players.
Our Echo achieves similar results using a specially designed modern and reliable circuitry with super balanced sound that's not too crisp but not lo-fi either.
CONTROLS
MIX: Adjust the Delay Level i.e. how loud you want to hear the effect. When the knob is set to zero, i.e. rotated completely counterclockwise, the input sound remains unchanged, totally "FLAT", while by rotating the knob clockwise the input sound is mixed with the delay.
FDK – by Using this knob you can set the number of repetitions. It is possible to obtain only a single "slap back" type echo when the knob is at zero while by rotating it clockwise the repetitions increase, until obtaining the self-oscillations tones.
TIME: adjusts the delay time of the repetitions ranging from 40 ms to 600 ms. This range is particularly suited to classic and vintage delay sounds, great for slap-back or medium-length delay times.
The Time knob has priority over the Tap tempo button, in fact the time set with the knob remains the same even when we disconnect the DC socket.
Therefore, when switched on again, the delay time will remain the same as previously set.
FOOTSWITCHES & LEDS
The TAP button is located on the left side of the pedal.
It is used to adjust the delay time with the foot, two or four presses are sufficient to obtain the desired time. The LED next to the button flashes in time.
On the right side of the pedal there is the bypass footswitch. When the effect is enabled, the green LED lights up.
CONNECTIONS
All connections are located on the rear panel, with this system it takes up less space in the pedalboard and the insertion of the jacks is facilitated.
